Travel Options

It is the responsibility of the buyer to make arrangements for how they will get their new puppy home. It is ideal when the new puppy owner can pick the puppy up in person which is what most people do. However that is not always possible.

Sometimes we do deliver puppies to their new homes for a fee, and in some cases we can arrange for the new puppy to travel to their new home with one of our dog savvy friends or relatives who may be traveling to your area. You can check with us to see if that option is available. If we can deliver more than one puppy on a trip we can split the costs of delivering the puppies and the price will be considerably less than if we have to make a special trip to meet you. Check below to see if any upcoming trips might work to bring your new puppy home!

One newer option that has been working very well for some people is U-Ship. With U-Ship you can often get excellent rates and top notch service. Checking an individual carrier’s reviews is important.

If other delivery options aren’t available or if you prefer you can have the puppy delivered using the airlines. However due to new USDA regulations we can only ship puppies using the airlines in certain circumstances. We generally charge more to ship using the airlines as we live about a 3 hours drive from the nearest airport that we can ship from, and the cost of transporting the puppy to the airport adds significantly to the cost.

Another option that we like is using a pet transport business of which there are many to choose from. Checking references is important. Some are wonderful and some are rather suspect. Do your homework.

We can meet you with your new puppy. If you would like to meet us in a city other than one that is listed, contact us to discuss if we can do that and what it would cost.  Prices for puppy delivery to the following cities are:

Albany, NY – $200

Syracuse, NY  – $175

Rochester, NY – $250

Binghamton, NY – $250

Burlington, VT – $175

Deposit Policy

Purpose of Deposit: By receiving the deposit the seller, Hall’s Kennel, is agreeing to hold the puppy for the buyer and to not sell it to another party. By placing a deposit on a puppy the buyer is agreeing to purchase the dog/puppy described on the receipt. The buyer agrees to pick up the puppy or have the puppy delivered to them between the pick-up dates stated on the receipt, unless other arrangements have been made. The amount of the deposit will be applied to the final purchase price of the puppy.

If the seller breaks the agreement: The seller will refund the deposit in the event the pup in unavailable or unfit for sale, such as if the puppy wasn’t born (if you put the deposit on a puppy before it was born), was sick, had a serious defect, or died.

If the buyer breaks the agreement: In the event the buyer changes their mind and decides they don’t want the puppy, or if no contact or arrangements have been made to pick up the puppy by the final pick-up date, the deposit will not be refunded. If the buyer has put a deposit on a puppy and didn’t see the puppy in person the seller will refund the deposit in the event the puppy just isn’t what the buyer wanted when they come to pick it up or it is delivered to them. In order to get a refund if the puppy isn’t what the buyer expected it to be, the buyer must see the puppy in person and state their disapproval of the puppy when they first see the puppy. The buyer will still be responsible to pay the delivery charge if it was delivered to them.

If the buyer has any questions or does not agree to the terms of deposit, please contact the seller immediately.
